The new Istanbul airport has proved its efficiency and effectiveness since the first day of its launch, and shows the intensity of its movement, as it began its first day with 148 trips, the extent to which this airport aspires to see excellence and success.

There is no doubt that the European interest in tourism in Turkey has increased significantly this year. The tourism sector witnessed an increase of 17.3% in the first two months of this year, equivalent to 1.2 million tourists.
The proportion of European tourists to Turkey's public tourism this year is 37%, which opened the way to increase the capabilities of Turkish Airlines in this market in terms of the number of passengers.
In 2008, Turkish Airlines carried 22,707,000 passengers, an increase of 12.3% over the previous year.
On the other hand, the demand for Turkish passengers in this market continues to increase.
In the first three months of this year, Turkish Airlines carried 4 million 949,822 passengers on its European airlines, which reached 114 cities in 43 countries, an increase of 5.2%.
The seat occupancy rate reached 75.1%.
The airline also announced that it will also fly to seven new European cities, including Nantes, Rovaniemi, and La Coruña.
The airline is the world's most flying company with a range of domestic and international destinations. With 335 aircraft (cargo and passengers), the airline flies to 307 destinations, including 258 international destinations and 49 domestic destinations.
The new Istanbul airport vicinity is expected to see a major real estate development, with increased demand for lands surrounding the new airport, which calls for optimism for an additional urban boom.
