According to Yeni Safak, a newspaper competent in Turkey news, one tunnel with a length of 5.87 kilometers has been completed to connect between the Kas?mpa?a, Sütlüce, and Çaml?ca; the tunnel reached the final stages of construction and there will be many other tunnels planned to connect the mentioned areas

There are also 22 tunnels in the European part of Istanbul and six tunnels in the Asian part of the city. And it is planned until 2019 to complete 17 tunnels with a total length of up to 98 kilometers. For example, the tunnel will start from Ka??thane to Bayrampa?a down to Bagjlar.

The tunnel that is between Dolmabahçe and Lavazem will run through Cendara road from Ayaza?a to Garipçe which means that it will serve communications between Be?ikta? and Sariyer to help easing transportation.

There will be a 52-km-long tunnel to connect between Büyükçekmece and Ka??thane going through 6 districts, connecting them.

A tunnel which goes from Ka??thane will connect Bayrampa?a with Küçükçekmece going through Bagjlar ending in Büyükçekmece coming from Avc?lar.

Another tunnel project with a length of 47 kilometers will go through Davutpa?a, Samatya, Merter, Kazl?çe?me, Kad?köy, and Kosdaly.

By 2023, there will be new tunnels under Istanbul to ease congestion and transporting crisis. For instance a 145- kilometer tunnel is planned to combines all the tunnels made before 2019 and after it.

A tunnel with a length of 24 kilometers will be constructed to ease congestion of Coast Oscudar Also. This project will serve Harem, Beylerbeyi, Çengelköy, Küçüksu, and Kavac?k where the demarcation lines between these areas are separately defined.
