"Sabiha Gökçen Airport" that is located in the Asian part of Istanbul intends within the expansion plan to invite a tender next month for the construction of four new boarding bridges.

The new project will increase the airport's capacity to transport passengers by %15 at least.

The project is scheduled to be established on 25.554 square meters, including the additional constructions such as, waiting halls, and storage areas.

This step comes in line with the existing development works at the airport, where they are working to create a new runway 3,500 meters long, it is expected to be inaugurated in 2019.

"Sabiha Gökçen Airport", which received 29.5 million passengers last year aims to raise this number to reach 32 million this year 2017.
